- When you comment you need to stay school appropriate. Don’t talk about something that you would not be allowed to talk about at school.
- In your comment you need to stay within the topic. If their post was about soccer don’t talk about baseball and basketball. It gets everyone of that topic and it is not a helpful comment.
- When you are giving them feedback you need to be specific. If they make a grammar mistake tell them and give them an example of when they did it.
- In your comment you need to be respectful of the post you are commenting on and everyone else in the comments. Don’t tell someone their post is bad or boring. If you’re not going to comment something nice don’t comment at all.
- Make sure your comment makes sense. Don’t put a comment out there that is hard to understand/follow . If it does not make sense it has no purpose and should not be posted.

Step 1. First you need to read their post. You need to read their post because if you don’t you won’t know what to post about, so if you want your comment to be a highway comment and not a dead end comment then READ THE POST!!!
Step 2. After you finish reading the post then you click on the comment box and start thinking about what you want to say. Think of how you can get a conversation started.
Step 3. After you figure out what to comment to get a conversation started type it.
Step 4. After you are done typing revise it. Check and make sure there aren’t any grammar mistakes and make sure you said everything correctly and it looks like you want it to.
Step 5. After you are finished with steps 1-4 post your comment and wait for a reply.
